Privacy Policy
AMJIX Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AMJIX, operated by Ashraf Handoklu, handles information when merchants use AMJIX with a connected Shopify store.
Effective Date: August 2026
1. Who We Are
AMJIX is operated by Ashraf Handoklu. There is currently no registered company entity associated with this service.
Privacy questions: hello@amjix.com
Product support: support@amjix.com
2. Relationship With Shopify
AMJIX is a third-party application that merchants may connect to their Shopify store. AMJIX is not owned, operated, or endorsed by Shopify Inc. Shopify remains the platform that hosts the merchant's store; AMJIX provides decision and opportunity intelligence features based on data the merchant authorizes AMJIX to access.
Shopify's own privacy practices are described in Shopify's policies. This Privacy Policy covers only AMJIX.
3. Information We Collect
A. Account information
When you connect AMJIX, we may store account and authentication information needed to operate the service, including:
- Email address associated with your AMJIX account
- Name, if available from the connection process
- Authentication and session information used to keep you signed in securely
B. Shopify store information
AMJIX currently requests these Shopify access scopes (read-only):
- read_products
- read_orders
- read_inventory
- read_locations
Using those permissions, AMJIX may synchronize and store information needed for analysis, including:
- Store connection details (such as shop domain and connection status)
- Product and catalog information (including titles, types, vendors, tags, and pricing where available)
- Order and sales-related business information used for analytics and recommendations
- Inventory levels and related quantities
- Location information associated with inventory operations (such as location identifiers and geographic context where available)
- Synchronization status and related operational metadata
AMJIX is designed around read-only Shopify access and does not use these scopes to independently change products, orders, inventory, or store settings in Shopify.
4. Customer Data
AMJIX's current Shopify app does not request the read_customers scope.
AMJIX does not normally import customer name, email, phone, or address from Shopify through the current MVP store sync. Orders may contain an opaque Shopify customer identifier (a reference id) without personal contact details.
Demo or Beta environments may contain synthetic customer information used for product demonstration or testing.
If customer-related information is present in AMJIX for any reason, it is handled according to the privacy, retention, and deletion processes described in this Privacy Policy, including applicable Shopify privacy webhooks.
5. How We Use Information
AMJIX uses information to:
- Connect and synchronize the merchant's Shopify store
- Understand products, orders, inventory, and store context
- Provide Store Intelligence
- Generate and prioritize Opportunity Intelligence
- Produce recommendations and decision support
- Maintain security and authentication
- Troubleshoot and support the service
- Respond to applicable legal and privacy requests
6. Store Intelligence and Opportunity Intelligence
Store Intelligence analyzes connected store information to build a contextual understanding of the merchant's business (for example catalog, sales, inventory, and market context signals).
Opportunity Intelligence combines store context with market and trend signals to help identify and prioritize potential opportunities for the merchant.
These features are informational decision-support tools. AMJIX does not guarantee sales, revenue, rankings, or any particular business result.
7. AI / OpenAI
AMJIX uses OpenAI to assist with AI-supported decision and insight enrichment. As needed to provide that feature, AMJIX may send decision-related content and store analytics or signal payloads to OpenAI.
AMJIX does not design this enrichment path to send Shopify customer names, emails, or phone numbers to OpenAI.
OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy documentation govern how OpenAI processes information as a service provider. AMJIX does not control OpenAI's independent retention or training practices.
8. Market Data / DataForSEO
AMJIX uses DataForSEO for market and trend information used by Opportunity Intelligence. As needed for that feature, AMJIX may send concepts or keywords, market location, and date-range information to DataForSEO.
AMJIX does not design this integration to send Shopify customer personal contact information to DataForSEO.
DataForSEO's applicable terms and privacy documentation govern its processing as a service provider.
9. Hosting and Infrastructure
AMJIX currently relies on infrastructure providers to operate the service, including:
- Vercel for application hosting and deployment
- Neon PostgreSQL for the application database
- Inngest for background jobs and workflows
- Upstash Redis for rate limiting when that configuration is enabled (otherwise rate limiting may run in-memory within the application)
These providers process information as necessary to host and operate AMJIX. Their applicable terms and privacy documentation apply to their services.
11. Data Retention
AMJIX retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet operational requirements, and comply with legal obligations, subject to the deletion mechanisms described in this Privacy Policy.
AMJIX does not currently publish fixed numeric retention periods (for example, automatic deletion after a set number of days) for all data categories. Retention is tied primarily to continued use of the service and to applicable deletion or privacy processes.
12. Disconnect vs Deletion
Merchant disconnect: Disconnecting your store from AMJIX removes the Shopify access token and ends the active connection. Disconnect alone does not necessarily immediately delete all previously synchronized store data stored by AMJIX.
Shopify privacy and redaction: When Shopify sends applicable privacy webhooks (for example after app uninstall or customer privacy requests), AMJIX processes store or customer deletion and data-request obligations through its privacy mechanisms.
Simply clicking Disconnect should not be understood as an immediate complete wipe of all historical synchronized data.
13. Privacy Requests and Data Deletion
AMJIX supports the relevant Shopify privacy webhooks, including:
- shop/redact — requests related to deleting shop data after uninstall, as applicable
- customers/redact — requests to remove or anonymize personal customer information AMJIX holds for a specific customer, as applicable
- customers/data_request — requests for information about personal data AMJIX actually holds for a specific customer, as applicable
For data requests, AMJIX prepares information based on personal data actually held by AMJIX for the relevant store and customer. AMJIX does not currently offer a public self-serve download portal for these exports.
For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@amjix.com.
14. Security
AMJIX takes the protection of merchant information seriously and uses measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including:
- Encrypted storage of Shopify access tokens
- Authenticated sessions for signed-in access
- Access controls that scope data to the merchant's organization and store
- Verification of Shopify webhook authenticity
- Protection of credentials and secrets on the server side
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. AMJIX does not claim absolute security or independent security certifications.
15. International Data Transfers
AMJIX and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where the merchant is located, subject to applicable laws and the providers' terms.
16. Children's Privacy
AMJIX is a business and ecommerce decision-support service intended for merchants and is not directed to children. AMJIX does not knowingly collect personal information from children for consumer use of this service.
17. Changes to This Policy
AMJIX may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of AMJIX after an update means you should review the revised policy.
